IEEE SmartGrid Com workshop co-sponsored by Keio Global Smart Society Creation Project was held on Oct. 6th 2016.
In the workshop, we make a presentation of two papers entitled ” Design of Multi Dimensional Search Queries for Efficient Discovery of Suppliers in the Smart Grid” and “Demand Response Minimizing the Impact on the Consumers’ Utility Towards Renewable Energy”. In addition to paper presentation, we had a colaborative meeting with Sydney Univ etc. about futre of smart technologies. In the meeting, IoT and data arthritics of smart network is also important as smart energy control.

29 Seoul Biennale International Studios Symposium “Imminent Dongdaemun”

Destination: University of Seoul, Korea
Outline:
Keio University Jorge Almazán Laboratory has been invited to participate in the Seoul Biennale, which will take place next year (2017). As part of the preparation events for the Biennale, we participated in the International Studios Symposium “Imminent Dongdaemun”. As a preparation for the symposium we conducted a fieldwork workshop with the University of Seoul focused on the area of Dongdaemun. This on-going research will be exhibited next year as as part of the Seoul Biennale.

Outline:
This project is predicated on realizing a smart-house as a new architectural building technology on Vis Island, Croatia. We designed, executed, and built a small intervention utilizing the Veneer House system currently being researched and developed by our laboratory. Various collaborating universities (Politecnico di Milano University and University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Architecture) formed a global partnership among Japan, Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia to design, material procurement, milling process, and building. In addition, the site visit was conducted at Amatrice, Italy for post-earthquake damage assessment. The interviews and surveys to local organizations and habitants were conducted jointly with Politecnico di Torino and The University of Naples Federico II.

Outline：
FOG PIXEL combines my research and learnings from the Global Innovation Design program and Keio Media Design. Exhibiting at Ars Electronica Festival which is festival of digital and art. It is interested in my FOG PIXEL to make a connection with me who are universities, educational institutions and companies. Also they give me improved point.

Destination: University of Alicante, Spain
Outline:
With the goal of exploring the “smart urban regeneration” of the historical core of Alicante, we conducted a workshop and symposium at the University of Alicante. Through a collaboration of local and Japanese graduate students we developed a detailed visualization of the historical core and identified possible interventions, which will be further developed in future workshops.
